Genomic diagnostics company Veracyte has appointed Angie McCabe as vice president of investor relations and corporate communications, effective immediately.
In her new role, McCabe is responsible for developing, executing and managing Veracyte’s internal and external communications – including to investors, customers and employees. She reports into Keith Kennedy, the company’s chief financial officer, who previously handled IR responsibilities as part of his role.
McCabe has more than two decades of experience in investor relations for healthcare companies. She most recently served as vice president of IR at WellCare Health Plans, and has previously worked at Health Net, Valeant Pharmaceuticals and WellPoint Health Networks.
‘I am excited to welcome Angie to the Veracyte team,’ says Bonnie Anderson, chairman and chief executive officer of Veracyte, in a statement. ‘Her more than 20 years of investor relations and communications experience, as well as her strong leadership skills and healthcare background, will help advance our company’s broader strategic goals.
‘In particular, Angie’s experience in building investor relations and communications programs to support business growth will be a valuable asset to the company.’
McCabe is an active NIRI member and served on the national board from 2013 to 2017.
