Following two years of virtual events, the IR Magazine Awards – Canada are back in person and will take place on Wednesday, May 25 at The Ritz Carlton in Toronto.
The IR Magazine Awards – Canada are divided into two sections. The awards-by-research categories are decided by a survey of hundreds of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts covering Canadian companies. Prizes include best overall IR, best IR officer and best IR by a senior management team.
The awards-by-nomination categories see companies send in entries explaining their work in key areas of IR practice, such as ESG reporting, digital communications and investor events. Here, the winners are decided by a panel of judges.
For the 2022 awards, the panel of judges features:
- Brian Christie, vice president of investor relations, Agnico Eagle Mines
- Lorne Gorber, executive adviser
- Lisa Greatrix, former senior vice president of finance and IR, Canadian Tire Corporation
- Laurie Havelock, editor-at-large, IR Magazine
- Colleen Johnston, former CFO, TD Bank
