Guilherme Lago became CFO at São Paulo, Brazil-headquartered Nubank in February 2021, 10 months before the fintech giant went public with a valuation of more than $40 bn – higher than the country’s largest bank, Itaú Unibanco – making it the most valuable listed company in the region at the time.
Prior to joining Nubank in 2019, he held various positions at Credit Suisse, including as managing director in its investment banking group, as well as a stint at McKinsey & Company.
