How mainland Chinese companies are attracting foreign capital

China's economy is in transition with the government taking steps to become a part of the global capitalist economy while maintaining its stronghold on domestic companies. In order to join the World Trade Organization, China lifted regulations preventing foreign issuers from listing on its exchanges.
