Delphi Financial Group underlines the importance of the human touch

Bernard Kilkelly explains the value of face-to-face relationships in an era of electronic communication

‘Although the internet allows for rapid, concise contact with stakeholders, the personal touch of face-to-face contact is as important today as at any time in the past,’ says Bernard Kikelly, vice president of investor relations at Delphi Financial Group.

Conferences, analyst days and field trips to investors’ offices facilitate the building of strong relationships, particularly with sell-side analysts and larger institutional investors. This will repay dividends to all parties when they need to reach out to an IR department, Kikelly adds.
