At the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2023, Schneider Electric was nominated for best IR during a corporate transaction and best IR website.
On the red carpet, IR Magazine caught up with Graham Phillips, IR director at the company, to discuss the nominations and key IR priorities for the year.
‘In terms of those two categories, we had a large transaction complete earlier this year on purchasing the minorities of AVEVA. It all went through successfully,’ he said.
‘We did launch a new website, including the new IR portal within that. It was revamped to improve the interaction and interface for all… so that would be analysts, investors and other interested people who want to [learn] about the Schneider Electric equity story.’
Turning to the issues that are top of mind for the IR team, Phillips mentioned reiterating the equity story, introducing the company’s new CEO to the market and forthcoming investor events.
‘At Schneider Electric, we have a very strong equity story at the moment, which is all around sustainability, digitization and electrification, so that’s a natural part of what we are talking to investors about,’ he said.
‘Of course, as people will know, we have a new chief executive, who has already had some interactions with investors. We also have a capital markets day that we’ve announced for November 9 this year so we’re working hard on that.
‘And there are the usual things IR teams work on, which is obviously making sure the equity story is well understood by investors and analysts, and H1 results on July 27.’
