The impact of Regulation FD outside the US
It's been called The Big Chill. Observers claim it heralds the dawning of a Brave New World in IR. For its part, the architect of this revolution, the Securities and Exchange Commission, would rather just call it Regulation Fair Disclosure, or Regulation FD. Since it was approved in August, it has been the only topic of conversation among IR professionals in the US. And as with politics, in the world of international equities it's often the case that where the US leads, others have to follow.
