Euronext acquires IR.soft to build out corporate services

Exchange operator buys provider of IR workflow and targeting tools

Euronext has acquired IR.soft, a provider of IR workflow and targeting tools, as the exchange operator continues to build out its suite of services for listed companies.

The exchange, which runs stock markets in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Lisbon, will integrate IR.soft into its corporate services package, according to a statement on IR.soft’s website.

The deal to buy IR.soft is the second corporate services acquisition made by Euronext this year. In February, it bought a majority stake in Dutch webcast and webinar provider Company Webcast.

‘The acquisition of IR.soft is a new step in the development of Euronext’s corporate services, which is one of the key growth initiatives of Euronext’s strategic plan,’ says Quentin Demeestere, head of corporate services for the group.

Launched in 2006, IR.soft’s main product is an IR platform that provides relationship management, shareholder tracking and targeting support. Arnaud Robin, co-founder and managing director of UK-based IR.soft, will continue to run the business in a new role at Euronext of director, investor relationship management solutions.

IR.soft, along with other corporate services managed by Euronext, will be made available to companies regardless of whether they are a Euronext-listed company or not. Euronext companies will need to subscribe to receive IR.soft services.

In May 2016, Euronext announced a growth plan to improve its finances and expand a number of business areas. Among the measures, the exchange said it planned to build out issuer services focused on data analytics.
