Foreign investment is driving the growth of IR in India.

Capital markets in India have come a long way since 22 men gathered under a banyan tree in a Mumbai park to form the Native Share and Stockbrokers Association in 1875. Today more than 7,000 companies are listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), as it is now known, with at least another 150 companies expected to come to market this year.
