Steve Wade, head of event content, IR Magazine
Steve Wade is a content researcher and conference producer at IR Magazine where he is responsible for crowd-sourcing intelligence on the big global issues facing investor relations. Steve also creates events where the IROs and the wider financial community can discuss, debate and learn about ways to develop the IR function.

Prior to IR Magazine, Steven’s background has been in corporate social responsibility and responsible investment. During his time at Ethical Corporation (now Reuters Events), Steve launched the ESG symposium, an event focused on connecting the socially responsible investment community with corporate sustainability leaders at listed companies. Steve was a judge for the Deloitte Green Frog Awards, celebrating the best corporate reporting in Eastern Europe. Steve also presented research at the Global Sustainable Event Summit in London and has spoken about extra-financial reporting with the United Nations Global Compact, the World Bank and the Polish Ministry of Finance.

Steve has a degree in Event Management and enjoys playing rugby in his spare time.
 

Darrell Heaps, CEO, Q4
Darrell Heaps is a serial entrepreneur and has spent his career building software companies from small to large. As the CEO of Q4 Inc. Darrell has led the company’s vision and unique marketing and sales strategy to help Q4 become a recognized leader in the IR space. Darrell together with the global Q4 team are revolutionizing the IR space by delivering advanced technology solutions to help IROs manage, analyze and improve their engagement with the capital markets. On a personal front, Darrell is an avid cyclist and mountain biker and lives in Toronto with his wife and is a proud father of two children. Darrell studied Business and Computer Science at York University.
 

Matt Tractenberg, SVP, investor relations, Q4
Matt Tractenberg has been a senior executive providing finance and Investor Relations services to public companies, including Cisco and Belden for more than 20 years. Currently, Matt is a Senior Vice President and the IRO at Q4, a leading provider of technology to the capital markets. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Investor Relations at WestRock, a U.S. based provider of paper and packaging solutions with sales exceeding $20 billion annually. 

Mr. Tractenberg has held a variety of finance roles and IR roles at companies across a variety of sectors including technology, industrial, and basic materials. He is a regular public speaker on corporate strategy, financial market structure, and corporate positioning. He is an IRC charterholder, holds a B.S. in Accountancy, and an MBA specializing in Financial Management & Markets. Born and raised in New York, he now lives in Atlanta with his wife Paige and two children. 
 

Mary Turnbull, managing director, Raymond James
Mary serves as Managing Director and Head of Corporate Access at Raymond James with an emphasis on collaborating with Investor Relations professionals to develop strategies for investor outreach and targeting. In this role, Mary is also responsible for partnering with Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Research professionals to develop and source content for Raymond James hosted general and sector-specific conferences, summits, symposiums, non-deal roadshows, bespoke trips and industry experts. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mary served in various research, sales and management roles at Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank and Salomon Smith Barney. An active NIRI member, she is currently on the Board of NIRI Silicon Valley, and previously served on the Annual Conference Committee and President of the Central Florida chapter. She is founder and co-chair of The Women in Capital Markets Symposium (WICM), an annual event devoted to advancing the professional development of women at Raymond James. Mary received a BA in economics from Mount Holyoke College, and an MBA in finance from Fordham University.
