Investment bank aims to hire more research professionals as it targets growth in Asia
Jefferies has added three new analysts to its Asian equities business as the investment bank continues to expand its presence in the region.
Following the appointments, Jefferies has 15 equity analysts in Asia conducting research on 75 companies.
As part of its expansion plans, the investment bank aims to hire more research professionals and further increase coverage in the region.
The new additions – Naomi Kumagai, Makarim Salman and Masahiro Wakasugi – all join Jefferies as senior equity research analysts, and will be based in Toyko.
Kumagai's focus will be the healthcare sector, Salman is to cover financial services and insurance, and Wakasugi will cover technology.
‘Their addition is part of Jefferies’ ongoing commitment to providing leading Asian equity research to our global client base,’ comments Nilesh Jasani, head of Asia-Pacific research at Jefferies, in a statement.
